Yep, anecdotal evidence but all my friends who like Pokemon were happy with the choice because they think there are way too many Pokemon as it is.

For a launch week? Yes
We need to see how the legs work.
If Long tail sales is good. Then you right
frankly only a minority cared about these socalled nerfs
the same minority that doesn't buy CoD yearly

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
WTF? How do these games only manage to sell in the range of 15 million with these openings? Those are some weak legs.

Great opening week. I am sure this was much higher than many people were thinking.

Pretty much this. We may have lost roughly half the national dex, but the remaining half of the national dex is still a freakishly huge amount of mons. People need to stop pretending that having 'only' 400+ Pokémon (which is still 100+ more than the Sun and Moon dex had to offer!) means that the games are lacking in content.

It’s not really more than what sun and moon had to offer because you could trade the rest in from previous games

Most sales of games are in the first weeks of release. Also Pokémon games just never drops in price.
