Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Halo Reach (MCC) Launching December 3rd on Xbox One & PC.

Looking forward to it.

And since Reach is essentially out of the way now, hopefully 343 Industries will focus on Halo Infinite. We're a year out from launch and we know next to nothing about the game, with only two non-gameplay trailers and a handful of tweets to go by. We've never seen things get this secretive with a Halo game before. I really hope we see Infinite in some form at the Game Awards.

Its certainly possible another studio helped with Reach. The problem with MCC early on was it being rushed, didnt necessarily need 343 doing the heavy lifting.

Lets not forget Halo 1, 2, 3, 4 and ODST are still being ported to PC. So either 343 grew to handle this project or there are other studios.

The Halo Infinite trailers were apparently in game. So its some indication of what the project is looking like.

We will hopefully see something soon as they've promised a beta, I expect they'll do one in a similar time frame to Halo 5 (December-January).

I believe Splash Damage are doing the bulk of development.

Awesome. I may try to squeeze in a replay of the entire saga now. It really is a well done series.

Thanks for the clarification Ryuu96.

On another note, will we be able to play, on PC via Steam, with xbox 360/One controllers for these?

I had a knucklehead moment. My 360 controller is fine when playing games, but when I'm looking at my desktop/browser there is a drift constantly on the mouse (a drift that doesn't exist in games), so I figured it was time to upgrade. I went out and bought an Xbox One controller, a Bluetooth one. I've been streaming my PC to my TV in another room with mouse and keyboard fine, but I wanted to play with a controller and not have a massively long wire dangling to where I am sitting. I've since discovered connecting the bluetooth xbox one controller to the TV does not give me control over the desktop and games playing on the desktop, and I can't connect it to the desktop because, WAIT FOR IT, I don't have bluetooth hardware on my desktop LOL

/facepalm

Good news then! The Steam page advertises as "Full Controller Support" so really any controller you can think of will work for the game, and Microsoft does provide a Windows 10 bluetooth adapter specifically for Xbox One controllers. It's plug and play! Here's a link https://www.bestbuy.com/site/microsoft-xbox-wireless-adapter-for-windows-10-black/6253924.p?skuId=6253924

Reach was always my second favorite behind the original.  Excellent game.  I plan on getting an Xbox One All Digital this Black Friday.  Going to have myself a Gears, Halo and Ori box.

Reach really is a good campaign, might be the best paced in the series.

It will be much more enjoyable on X1 simply for cleaning up the blurry presentation of the original and 60 fps. Im more hyped about this than actual new games.
