Firebombing reviews has to be one of the most childish acts I've seen. People need to grow up.

I wonder how the user reviews will be compared to Death Stranding, which stands, as of now, at a 6.4 user rating.

Is this a surprise? The score shouldn't be impacted by a movement, though perhaps the cause of that movement, being the game's flaws which don't disappear because it reviewed and sells well.

Anyone who thought this was gonna get less than 80 didn't do their research. Let's Go just showed us how low reviewers set the bar for Pokemon, and despite it's issue, Sw/Sh is still objectively superior so of course it'd score the same or better. Similarly, the masses have already proven they're fine paying more for less with Let's Go, so Sw/Sh can be expected to sell +10 million as well.

Movements tend to have an impact. In this case S/S is being received well and will sell millions. There was no movement. Don't confuse a legitimate movement with a bunch of internet whiny itches.

I also love the behavior of all the S/S haters.

Step 1: Trash the game relentlessly for months on end

Step 2: Last minute predict a good Metascore that is completely out of alignment with months worth of complaining

Step 3: Buy the game, but make excuses for doing so

Metacritic, and just about everywhere else people can rate something, have always been 0s and 10s mixed at various proportions. And there will always be kids online, and nerds who care about metacritic scores for their own dick-wagging contests.

So, not going to happen.

(Of course, to ask what came first: hate culture which distributes 0s and cares for nothing else, or drone culture which distributes 10s and silences criticisms, is a question for the ages).
