Is this a surprise? The score shouldn't be impacted by a movement, though perhaps the cause of that movement, being the game's flaws which don't disappear because it reviewed and sells well.
Anyone who thought this was gonna get less than 80 didn't do their research. Let's Go just showed us how low reviewers set the bar for Pokemon, and despite it's issue, Sw/Sh is still objectively superior so of course it'd score the same or better. Similarly, the masses have already proven they're fine paying more for less with Let's Go, so Sw/Sh can be expected to sell +10 million as well.
