Great start, how does it compare with the first?

As per the post above you, Mario Maker 1 shipped 1.88 million in it's first 21 days. Impressive for a game releasing on a (practically) dead system, but clearly MM2 being on a thriving platform has helped it do much better.

Yep it is.

I think the 20M sold is a little to optimistic at the moment, but who nows right? 5M is very secure and 10M is reasonable.

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Yeah I myself wouldn't put money on 20 million; it's possible, but a long shot, very few games ever reach that high.

I definitely think it'll pass 10 million though.

It certainly is good to see another game crossing the 10M.

Oh yeah, definitely. As I've said a few times recently, Switch is tracking to have more 10M sellers than any previous Nintendo system.

Wii U-1.88m (20 days)
3DS-2.01m (30 days)
Switch-2.42m (3 days)

Well deserved, however sadly I haven't really got into the game yet. Summer is not the time for making levels. But I have been using the included subscription for a quick round of tetris 99 in the evening.

I got the included subscription version as well and have been playing Tetris 99 much more than MM2. Highly addictive
