Yes! I had 7k reknown when starting my new game+ file. 4K from the final boss, and 3K unspent. Just checked my old save files to confirm it.

Oh nice. Thankyou!
Pocky Lover Boy!
Lysithia, Ingrid, and Petra are my favorites.
Ingrid as a Falcon Knight just wrecks everything. She dodges almost every attack and always counterattacks twice. Her ability to use Swords and Spears means she can counter any weapon.
Lysithia has ridiculous range and can use all types of magic. She learns all skills twice as fast as others.
Petra is awesome with her ability to crit them if they are below 50% HP. Combine that with her +25 dodge ability and she dodges almost as much as Ingrid only to counterattack with a nearly guaranteed crit.

What you mean by the bolded? There is no weapon triangle in this game thus no weapon countering, everything is equally effective against everything. But yeah Lysithia is OP! That Dark Spikes T is able to 1-shot most things without even doubling, can even be used to kill the Death Knight during the early encounters with him. She's also the only one afaik who gets dark magic that can be used on all paths (r.i.p. Hubert). Then of course you have Warp shenanigans. Haven't used Petra yet, but I'm currently doing Blue Lions (I thought of a way to make it more interesting to say the least hehe), and Ingrid has been a top performer for sure. I'm of the opinion that everyone can be really good, since everyone can be any class and use any weapon, that means everyone can be in the best classes.
I'm currently on my fourth and final run, now at Chapter 16 of the Blue Lions. This time, I've recruited every available unit, and am keeping them all levelled/used equally, so that I can pair them off as I like at the end of the game.
Petra, Dorothea and Lysithea are all ridiculously good, I've used all in every run so far, and they're so useful I can't get them off my team. Petra dodges, doubles and crits everything so she's invaluable, Dorothea can use Meteor to hit the boss on the first turn, and Lysithea is just a walking nuke, nothing stands in her way.

You can theoretically make anyone every class (except for the fact that certain classes are male or female exclusive) but certain skills are raised slower for certain characters. More importantly, different characters have different stat growth. So, Dimitri has a crazy high chance of gaining strength on a level up, but relatively low chance for an increase in magic. So while you could theoretically put him in a magic heavy class, he'd be much less useful there.

You'd of course put them in the top tier class that suits their strengths, but I can actually see Dimitri being pretty good as a Dark Knight. Obviously Wyvern Master and Bow Knight are the best options, but with Tomefaire and Magic Blow his magic damage would probably be decent enough.

There are skills that mimic the weapon triangle. Axe Breaker, Lance Breaker, and Sword Breaker all give you +20 Hit/Avo when attacking someone with the right weapon. I'm pretty sure that on hard mode a lot of the NPC enemies already have these skill equipped too. I'll go back and check on that later.
P.S. How are you getting Lysithea to take three different attacks and survive? I've been using her, and she's got amazing range, but she dies after one or two hits. Naturally I just keep her fighting in the back lines and she lives every game, but I remember you saying that you were able to use her to tank enemies all day. Are you not playing on Hard mode? What class is she in your party?

No, it really wouldn't.
Dimitri's mag starts at 4, with a 20% growth. Even if you keep him in mage classes, he's going to have a 30% chance of mag on a level up. So, at level 30, his mag should statistically be around 14. Which is really not going to do very well against enemies at that point in the game. Even with fiendish blow and tomefaire, his base attack would be 25 on player phase and 19 on enemy phase.
Even if you for some reason REALLY wanted a magic Dimitri, his mag caps at 38. Comparably, Dorothea caps at 61. If you somehow got lucky and got a magic boost on every level up, or used herbs or w/e, with tomefaire and fiendish blow, your attack would be 49 on player phase. Really not viable in the late game.

Ah, atleast on Golden Deer route, those skills were very rare to see, I think they were only on enemy students. I don't use them myself as I'd rather a skill that works on everything since each unit already can effectively fight anything in this game, but if you're going for dodgetanking I see the use.
I didn't say Lysithia is able to tank hits all day (tho maybe can with Nosferatu lul), just that even my frailest unit can survive a hit or two, meaning everyone else can survive even more.

I already said it wasn't the best option, but I guess you're just fishing to be disagreeable and argue over anything no matter how trivial and subjective. You'll have to find someone else for that. I'll just mention that promotion boost your base stats if they're below a certain threshold, depending on the class you promote to i.e. promoting to Armored Knight if your HP is below 30 and defense below 12 increases your unit's base stats to those numbers. This makes it easier to use any unit in any class, and makes the rng on level ups less relevant.
