The PS3's utter failure in Japan is depressing, especially when it comes to Japanese developers who make the types of games I enjoy. Thankfully, they still see some success in the West but getting big, quality RPGs out of Japan is going to be tougher and tougher.

When that game came out, there were an assload of PSP's out there. I bet there were more PSPs sold at that point in time than there were Wiis in existence when the Wii launched.
However, the PS3 and Wii launched at the same time, so when a whole year later, $90 Wii games are outselling the PS3, that is fucking hilarious.

See! You can do it too!
PS2 LTD is higher than Wii LTD.

The only unfortunate thing about the thread is that it's not a post to marvel at the success of the game, but instead to poke fun at the fans of the console, posts from users such as Zucas and Nintendo Zealot make that obvious. But since the comparison itself is not against any rules, Sony fans must grin and take it. C'est la vie.

I'm gunna go with early august, because PS3 should have a couple boosts and Wiifit should keep slowly dropping.
XBox 360 finally passed Nintendogs sales worldwide.
They were both at ~17.7M at the end of 2007.
"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."
Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.
