Forums - Nintendo Discussion - So... nobody else is worried about DOOM Eternal on Switch?

Google paid them not to put it on Switch. They're going to start holding games hostage till Nintendo agree to put a Stadia App on the Switch.

I'm not as such worried about it. But I'm not in the target audience in the first place, so I wouldn't be buying, nomatter the framerate they achieved.

I think it's nice to see the games arrive at the same time as other versions.
But naturally, I also hope the players are satisfied, as for the core gamer market on Switch to not completely die off.

I think Switch would benefit from Stadia.

I have had mine preordered on Amazon since E3 with the same day and date release as the other versions listed.

Well, that's something I guess, though the fact that even there it doesn't have any box art is weird.

I dunno, the whole thing just feels fishy, with even Nintendo's official site not featuring it.

I went to pre-order it on Amazon with Witcher3, but It's not listed that I can find.

There is literally hundreds of games missing from that picture. No need to panic.

Sure.  But, there no big names missing except Doom.  It is possible it was just an oversight.  But, combined with the other factors mentioned in this thread....

I swear I'm fucking cursed haha.

Every game I get super hyped for goes off the rails. BOTW? Delayed from 2015 to 2016 to 2017. Bayonetta 3? Revealed in 2017 and they've still shown us not a second of gameplay. Metroid Prime 4? Restarted after 1.5 years, probably not coming til like 2024. It'd be in line with my usual luck if Doom Eternal was canned for Switch.

Might the port be eternally doomed?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

They probably just aren’t sure yet if they’ll make the deadline of the set date and whether or not they’ll have it done in Q3, Q4 or next year, so left it off that sheet for now as a precaution. It was in the E3 reel, enough proof to say it will come at one point, whether or not it’s the same day as the other platforms is just still up in the air.
