All this is is supporting standard range for variable refresh rate TVs/monitors.

Sorry wait, all the PC gamers will burn their rigs to buy PS5 for something they've had for years.

Um.. a great feature becoming available to more price conscious users sounds like a good thing, don't you think? Enthusiasts will still be able to enjoy a higher quality experience with more investment in hardware.

Now we wait if the PS5 supports graphics option menus to actually make use of it.

Spoiler: It won't.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I can't tell 30fps from 60fps so this feature isn't doing much for me.

An 8k tv running 120hz will cost a second morgage

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

For PSVR it will make games even more enjoyable... for regular games I would preffer to have my TV at 8k than 120Hz =]

8k and 120hz are things that don't impress me really.

At least I have no idea how 8k looks like

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

I think AAA games will just increase the graphics like they always do and go to 30fps.

Just saw a 8k TV on the market today. 65" for 21k brazilian reais, or about 21 minimum wage.

It doesn't mean anything until we see a game make use of this ability while also delivering good all around performance.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

8k looks like 4k but twice as much.
