Considering their games have become so cinematic that theyre basically movies already, this feels like it was inevitabl

It's my fault really. When entering this thread I should have known I would see a comment with this dumb "Sony games are basically movies" comment. Care to elaborate and prove your point on how they are basically movies?

They really don't care about doing shitty movies or they really don't get that adaptation of video games will always suck?
Video games are about gameplay. Scenario is secondary.

Can't wait to see the first trailers to read all the bad comments. Should be funny

Jak and Daxter, please. Animated. None of this putting the characters in the real world and having them fight the army or something. Ratchet and Clank as well. Wouldn't even bother me if they went for a Sony Cinematic Universe and had these characters end up meeting. But I know I'm asking for too much from a format that hasn't seen much crossover success

Not really

Game adaptations, much like anime adaptations, usually suck because they jist try to make a movie of a game instead of adapating the core characteristics to a different medium.

Saying games cant be made into movies etc is like saying books cant, since they need to be read.

Seems like Twisted Metal is getting a tv series

After playing half of the story mode on the PS3 version on my friends PS3. I wonder how dark they are going to go with a TV series.  That whole first story about Sweet tooth was dark as hell.  I love Twisted Metal since PS1 days for the combat but damn they went dark on that PS3 version.  I was like damn I wanted to play a vehicle combat game not watch a horror movie.

If they make the games into small series it would be great.

Just like Harry Potter would have been much better as a series than a 8 part movie.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Twisted Metal Series in future, i hear.

That's good news. So more games can come back if films / series are successful. For example: LittleBigPlanet, Sly Cooper, Twisted Metal, ect ..

Game of the Year 2020: Ghost of Tsushima, Persona 5 Royal or The Last of Us 2 ?!
