Thats very true. these systems still have games to are not matched even buy the same companies who made them.
I had every system out when it came to sega, nintendo, microsoft etc. So i had both. I was i HARDCORE nintendo fan from birth till when the Wii came out. ever since then i am now a sony fanboy. The wii is horrible to me and the playstation has always had and always will have must own games.
Both n64 and psx was awesome. (i still own a dozen games for both)
I just got my PS1 for free and just stayed with it.
I bought a N64, and was very happy with the purchase. I loved the console mostly for the multiplayer, and I had to play Mario 64. The games I purchased for the console. By the way I still have it and still have my old carts.
Mario 64
Mariokart 64
Starfox 64
Blastcorps
Pilotwings 64
Diddy Kong Racing
Goldeneye 007
Shadows of the Empire
Zelda Ocarina of time
Zelda Majoras Mask
Banjo Kazooie
Donkey Kong 64
Turok
Turok 2
Extreme G
Pokemon Stadium
Nightmare Creatures
Doom 64
Perfect Dark
With all of those games I simply had no need for a second console especially since we played some of those games for months on end.
anyone cares to do a console count? haha
I got n64 early in its life cycle, got ocarina and majoras on their realease dates and many many more games
my parents gave the ps1 as a present to me in 1999 or so, I never bought a game for it, Mexico and PS1 equals piracy, even then I only had Chrono Cross, FF7, DQ7 and FF9
PSone ... oh my how many good memories I have with that console . Also , some of my all times favorites ( most of them ) where on the PSone ( Crash 1/2/3/TR , RE3 , Rayman 2 , Dino Crisis 2 etc. ) .

To this day I still think the ps1 was the best system ever made. My first game was jet moto which came bundled and I got games like crash team racing, crash bandicoot, spyro metal gear etc etc.. N64 was a great system, but not my taste. I used to go play smash bros at my friends house before he got his xbox and I got addicted to it. The only game I liked for n64 was smash bros and mario kart.
I have to thank my dad for getting me my ps1 or else I would be a nintendoboy right now.
I still cannot beleive Canadian Tire, a hardware store sold game consoles. |
I had both a PS1 and an N64. I never played the PS1 much. I freakin' loved Super Mario 64, SSB and Mario kart for the 64 though, although I owned it back when I got my first job and purchased about 25 games for the system, mostly within the first two years before I abanonded it for the PC.
I went N64 after playing Ocarina of Time.

I got an N64. All those platformers were enough to keep me satisfied. The only game I regretted not buying was Conker's Bad Fur Day. (Not like I knew what that was back then!)

I only had a N64 and my first games were Super Mario 64 and Wave Race.
I grew up on Nintendo and now I appreciate all (meaning Ive owned all systems last gen and own all this one.)
