I blame Wii Fit.

By the looks of it, it is only the rank change... for all we know, it could have sold just 100 copies to take the top spot.  I would like to know the % in sales increase rather then the rank increase.

 I thought it was % numbers and yes if it sold 100 and increased 781,100% yes it would mean 781,100 units... but as it is rank, there's no telling what-so-ever.

Oh the good old Amazon percentages... They are just the change in ranking position, nothing to do with the sales numbers themselves.

it will also have enormous legs. every single wii owner I know will buy it. Though not during launch, they will all buy it sometime. Same here.

For people who are still taking this percentage seriously, here is how they calculate it:

P = Previous ranking #
C = New ranking #

Percentage = (P-C)/C * 100

For Wii Fit, the previous ranking was 8740, and now it's in first place, so the percentage is (8740-1)/1 * 100 = 873900%

so the % that amazon shows is really not a % at all, why bother calling it % then when its got nothing to do with it
