I didn't manage to but hopefully someone did. Have been (im) patiently waiting for the results. It seems it may have crashed due to volume so there could be a meltdown coming either way!

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

So you think PS4 will be up YoY, by a good chunk? Would you care to explain why, with no deals, that it would be up YoY?

Hypothetically if the Switch didn't sell over 2 million and we have a 6% drop from 2017 when November Switch was up and we know the 3Ds is down then the left over pie from about 4 million means that that the Xbox and PS4 made up at least 2 million in sales.  So either the Xbox sold gangbusters or the PS4 was up YoY.  I would say it is probably 1 million.  This is all speculation.

Or the Switch did sell over 2 million, so the chunk of pie left is smaller.

Benji always says this himself. He sees a big chunk of the market but not all of it.
But a lot of people don't get that. Some even call him NPD insider despite him being not afflicted with NPD at all.

This is why he was so surprised when gaming sites took his prediction and ran with it.

Yes you are correct.  One thing that would help is to know what percentage of Hardware sales come from GameStop.   But even if they are the same or up, Switch would have to sell well over 2 million for the remaining share not to indicate a YoY growth for PS4 or an extreme lopsided result for the Xbox.   It all goes back to what Switch sales will wind up being.  Thats why the lack of info is so contentious for Benji.  The xbox is gonna need to blow it out of the part to keep the PS4 down YoY in my opinion and I believe that the PS4 outsold the xbox from watch sites like GameStop and Bestbuy.  Again this is all speculation.
