Fighting games along with sports titles traditionally struggle on handhelds. If I really want to play either genre I'd do it on a console. I like handhelds for platformers, adventure games, RPGs and so on. I wouldn't mind seeing a top notch fighter for the DS though.
I imagine fighters on handhelds never went well because multiplayer was never as easy on a handheld as it was on a console. fighters suck unless you'lre playing against someone else

In other words, where are the "good" fighting games for the DS?
