Now, the next 10 positions:
#15 - The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
What I like the most about this game: The feeling of being in a grand adventure and the sense of discovery that the game gives you, the charming and endearing story and main characters, the side-quests and the side characters, the beautiful and ageless art style, the outstanding soundtrack (dat Dragon Roost Island theme). I must say that this game has my favorite incarnation of Ganon in any Zelda game.
#14 - Kingdom Hearts
What I like the most about this game: The great charm that it has, its moving and memorable story, the selection of Disney movies used for the game's worlds; the design of the worlds (Atlantica and Deep Jungle get criticized for being frustrating, but I don't mind them), in particular, I love the Hollow Bastion world; the Disney characters having good protagonism in the story, the overall mysterious atmosphere of the game, the fantastic soundtrack. That moment when you reach Hollow Bastion for the first time is so magical.
#13 - The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
What I like the most about this game: The memorable side-quests and side-characters; the ominous and yet hopeful atmosphere of the game; the Clock Town, which feels truly alive; the relatively simple but very impactful main story; the 3-days system, which adds a unique element of tension to the game; the mask transformations, which add an interesting twist to the traditional Zelda gameplay; the masterful soundtrack.
#12 - Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep
What I like the most about this game: The super fun battle system, where you can select different attack/magic/item commands from a customized deck, rather than the fixed commands menu from KH1/KH2; the commands melding system, where you fuse commands to get new ones (I found this system to be really addicting), as well as the levelling-up of commands (spent so much time doing that); the story, which sometimes can be heartbreaking (especially near the end); the different play styles of the three protagonists, the Command Styles, the soundtrack. Also, I really enjoyed the Rumble Racing mini-game and the Command Board.
#11 - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
What I like the most about this game: The amazing dungeon design and the puzzles (this game excels in both quality and quantity of dungeons); the interesting themes of some of the dungeons, for example, the Snowpeak Ruins and the City in the Sky; the items, some of which are really creative (in particular, the double clawshot is my favorite item from any Zelda game); the epic boss fights (Stallord and Argorok are soooooo amazing); Midna, who is one of my favorite characters of all time; the Cave of Ordeals, the horseback battles, the underrated soundtrack. This game really nailed that sense of being in an epic adventure.
#10 - Final Fantasy VI
What I like the most about this game: The cast of characters, which is my favorite from any RPG; the interactions between the characters; the story and all its memorable moments (dat opera scene); the main villain, Kefka, who is my favorite villain ever; the fantastic side-quests, which tell you more about the backstories and struggles of the characters; the Esper system, the fast-paced ATB-based turn-based battle system; the masterful soundtrack, the ageless sprite work, the overall sense of adventure of the game.
#9 - Shadow of the Colossus
What I like the most about this game: The subtle way the story is told and how the game makes you question the morality of your actions as you continue killing the colossi; THE ENDING; the amazingly designed and imposing boss battles, each of which is like a big brilliant puzzle (this game has some of my favorite boss battles ever); the atmosphere of loneliness that the game has, the sense of scale of the world, the fantastic music (the theme that plays when a colossus dies got particularly stuck in my mind).
#8 - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
What I like the most about this game: The amazingly designed dungeons and their puzzles (Ancient Cistern is one of my top 3 dungeons in any Zelda game); the areas outside the dungeons, which have really amazing level design and puzzles (the Timeshift Stone puzzles are just so brilliant); the boss battles (dat Koloktos), the items and how they are useful even outside the dungeon where you found them (which is an improvement over TP); the memorable story and characters, especially Zelda (my favorite incarnation of Zelda) and Groose; the combat (yes, I really enjoyed the motion-based combat); the NPC-related side-quests, which have their own mini-stories; the art-style and, of course, the soundtrack. This game is so underrated.
#7 - Tales of the Abyss
What I like the most about this game: The interactions between the characters and how their relationship evolves with time (also, Jade is one of the my favorite characters ever); the character development of the protagonist Luke and his romance with Tear (which develops progressively through the game); the story and the overall plot; the concept of the game's world, which has a really interesting lore (some say it's complicated but eh); the villains, all of whom have their own backstories; the gameplay (it was the first Symphonia-style Tales game to feature the free-run mechanic, so it doesn't feel nearly as dated as Symphonia + the Field of Fonons is a really nice addition); the soundtrack. Btw, the opening theme "Karma" is soooooooo amazing.
#6 - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
What I like the most about this game: The incredible dungeons and their layouts and puzzles (the Forest Temple and the Spirit Temple are favorite Zelda dungeons ever); the fantastic boss fights, such as Twinrova and Phantom Ganon; the relatively simple but incredibly moving and memorable story; the good pacing of the story, the atmosphere of mystery that the game has and how it changes to a more depressing atmosphere when you become Adult Link; the items and how they're very well used through the game, the side content; the soundtrack, which is one of my favorites ever (dat Gerudo Valley theme). This game blowed my mind the first time I played it and it remains my favorite Zelda game.
