Forums - Nintendo - Question About MK Wii Supply Conditions-

I have noticed it is out of stock several places online, and MK is a casual title (casuals are less inclined to order online)

Is the game sold out in most stores? After seeing the amazing sales in the UK it makes me wonder, and Amazon UK says they are not getting any stock until the 20th....

I am interesting UK the most, but I would not mind hearing how it sold other places as well (especially france and germany)

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

It's practically sold out here in the Netherlands, but isn't it kind of obvious? Everyone with a Wii loves this game.

But there will not be any shortage problems for this game since Nintendo regulary ships large numbers of units.

Yea, I know it won't be long term, but I was wondering about sellthough....

I know Nintendo sold 200k in the UK, but if they shipped 400k, they would obviously been expecting more.

Like I said before Wii(casual) + MK(Casual) + Others (Casual and love racing) = huge sales.

I was just not expecting so much week 1... I thought it would have legs and look like this 285-250-150-125-95-70-65-55-50-50-50-50-50-50... u get the idea.

I would have bought it on Friday but just got back from holiday yesterday. Tried 5 different stores near where I live in London and it was sold out. Luckily I managed to find it in the very last place that sold games in the area. Was already cursing nintendo under my breath for never managing to meet supply but they were luckily spared my curses by the fact I eventually managed to find it.

I think it sold a lot better than Nintendo expected.

That, or Wii-Wheel production/shelf space slowed it down.

Didn't seem to be bad in Japan, according to y-koron.

Here in Holland it's sold out in a lot of stores.

SMG was also sold out in many places,
certainly in the Netherlands after it's release for weeks

and that while SMG had much smaller launch sales,
so how is Nintendo all of a sudden gonna meet demand worldwide so soon after the release?

''Hadouken!''

Not sold out in any of the 6 retailers near me who sell vg's. Good sales though, should definately outsell its GC predecssor.

hmm, so 200k from UK and it is hit or miss, but it seems it is a sellout in other parts of Europe...

Methinks UK actually had lower sellthough than other countries (Netherlands, France, and Germany)

There are tons of core gamers who will pick up Mario Kart week one. It's a bridge title, not a casual title. And it's the best racing game on the platform at this point.
