Not a bad opening for Octopath, although I'm not sure what I was expecting to be honest. The top ten is basically Nintendoland aside from God of War still up there, and Jurassic World Evolution, which I'm pretty confident will drop out of the top ten next week, so unless there were any new releases in July, I reckon it could potentially be 9/10 of the games being on Switch, lol.

Also look how close Super Mario Odyssey is to 10m! :o

To be fair, it reached 10m back in March, but I'm curious to see what kind of numbers it pulls on the holidays.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Yeesh, just noticed that. Plus its doing less than half of either PS4 or Switch in the hardware charts. MS really laid a dud this gen, Xbox One is a lost cause. At this point I'd say they're better off holding off and saving Halo Infinity as a launch title for the Nextbox.

I think Halo Infinity will be a cross title for the XB1 and the next Xbox. Especially because I am assuming it will launch in 2020. Gears 5 will probably be the big ( and last) major exclusive for 2019 on the XB1.

Is that including digital sales or are we just super behind/undertracked? I'm only thinking about physical sales here, I always forget about digital, lol :P

Octopath is probably one of the only big releases where the digital ratio is probably as big or even skewed towards digital

Yeah, that's shipped + digital, so VGC may be accurate, who knows? xD

On the Nintendo site they have Super Mario Odyssey at 11.17 million shipped as of june 30. They probably have ship some more since then so it is problably close to 11 million sold with digital sales

I hope Microsoft recovers next generation. I know it's unlikely to see Microsoft leaving the market anyway, but I want them more competitive next generation so we can keep 3 strong companies in the market.

I think Microsoft will always do well in NA/UK but unless Sony does something to fuck up badly than mainland Europe is pretty much always going to pick PS over XB (NS is different enough that it can coexist with PS) and Japan is a lost cause.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

8 switch games in top 10!!! Congrats on the amazing sales of Octopath and Captain Toad!
