well you can play all your PS4 games for free, those are the only ones that get free upgrades!
I wanna know what games get 4K upscaling as if they were on PS4 Pro. I wanna play Red Dead Redemption II in 4K, something I was unable to do this gen (I only ever had a launch PS4 and it did me gud; didn't even have a 4K TV till this time last year...and it's mostly been used to play animal Crossing and Stardew Valley)

Bold: That's true. However I'd be more likely to replay games that have all the bells and whistles of a PS5 game instead of just replaying a PS4 game through BC.
Don't know how much I'm gonna take advantage of ordinary BC. I might've used BC on PS2 and PS3 5 times in total. But of course I might be tempted to use it more depending on how much games with unlocked framerate/dynamic resolution gets boosted.

Yeah, I agree. got a perfectly good PS4 that has like 4TB worth of games downloaded to it...no need to switch everything around and overload the PS5's internal space with games if there's no benefit.
However, I got a launch PS4, so even 4K upscaling like the PS4 Pro offered is enough. Plus games like Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon are stuff I never got around to doing. Plus I'm super excited for my roommate to get to play a bunch of my games on her login on the console once I get it. she has a PS4, but if I make the PS5 my home console and let her use her PSN, she can play with me. I'm excited for that, either way.
Backwards compatibility is nice. Xbox does it better, but honestly anything prior to gen 8 is legacy and I have my own gaming rig setup for PS1, PS2, and PS3 games. It's all good!
