Just beaten 2-2
This is far and away the easiest Souls games if you have previous information of how to defeat bosses and how to find the best weapon (and know how to properly level up)
But what really make this game easier compared to standard Dark Souks is:
- Dark Souls (mainly 1 and, 3 not so much) is purposefully treacherous on its map design, in a irritating way
- This is much easy to loot and grind. If you have patience you can farm any recover item and easily even up in the process. Compared to the very scarce healing items in Dark Souls this is a very welcoming approach
- A much more streamlined map philosophy, compared to the overwhelming open map Dark souls have that never tells you where to go and also make you desperate to find a new bonfire (that you can miss entirely if you don't explore well enough)
- Magic is actually useful and viable quite early in the game. In DS 1 and 2 magic is only really dependable in mid and late game and in DS3 magic builds are so frail and enemies so fast that I always rage quit every time I try to build a sorcerer. With much slower and less punishing bosses, a strong mage can trivialize most of boss fights, whereas in Dark Souls (mainly DS 3) some bosses are nearly impossible to defeat with pure magic
Granted, I'm playing souslike game for almost 4 years now, so I'm very well used to its mechanics which helps a lot I guess, but I don't think experience makes as much difference in Dark Souls. Demon Souls looks like a game that is terrifying to be played first (no information about using Demon souls to buy magic and upgrading weapons, convulated weapons upgrades, very gimmick bosses, lack of save points, etc), probably MUCH harder (cruel, even) than Dark Souls, but Demon Souls is a game that with proper knowledge you CAN make easy, whereas Dark Souls you are just miserable and need to master your battle skills and reflexes regardless of your previous knowledge
