I've certainly upped my spending on the device. I have to fight the urge to spend sometimes.

In all honesty thinking about it it's probably not *that* impressive. That means it had a better May than the 3DS or Wii U had in the US, and 3DS was never really a juggernaut platform in the US, it was fairly rare to ever even see two 3DS games ever in the top 10 NPD at the same time. Wii U ... well uh we know how that went.

And software being up YoY from last year makes logical sense, there were only like 12-15 retail releases total for the Switch this time last year. There's easily much more software available now and the userbase should be double-triple where it was a year ago. Software should be up by double.

Just sayin'.

90% increase not counting digital basically is double. If digital sales were included, it would probably be around 100-110%. So, it's likely more than double.

Just sayin'.

That is very impressive!

Pocky Lover Boy!

That's cool and all but hold on a second:
“Sony’s PlayStation 4, Microsoft’s Xbox One and Nintendo Switch all achieved all-time unit sales highs for a May month,” said Piscatella. “Previous highs were May 2016 for PlayStation 4, May 2015 for Xbox One, and May 2017 for Switch.”
This is a weird quote because didn't the leaks put numbers for Switch DOWN vs last May?

But the leak posted as closest to official numbers was 195k or just under 200k.  For last May that is.

No.  No it isn't.

It is this year:  http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=235305&page=1

May last year, leakers had the PS4 just over 200k and the Switch just under 200k, with the most accurate predictor according to them having Switch at 195k (though his PS4 numbers were off).

The OP of that thread has the predictor numbers.
