It´s a brand new smash game. I see people calling this a port and I just dont get it what makes someone say this is a port? This is as new a smash game you can get.

Its for the melee crowd that won´t accept playing with a controller that isnt a gamecube controller. It´s also just a really good controller.

They changed a lot of the design, changed a few of the mechanics, and added some new characters, and you can't play them the same way you used too, but it's still an updated version of the same base game. I just appreciate the detail and effort they've put into the newest version of Smash 4. It's pretty much what I was hoping for.

All smash games are an updated version of the same base game then.

I'd take that to heart, if only it didn't come from the guy who still believes Guardians 2 wasn't a disappointment.

Guardians 2 wasn´t a dissapointment and I really don´t see how the guardians sequel would have worked otherwise.

It IS. Stop it! I don't care what sort of console wars you guys see here, but this is not rocket science. It's in the bloody name. Are you saying that Ultra Street Fighter 4 was a new game? It had new assets and mechanics and new moves, therefore it was a new game! No! It wasn't! This is smash 4.5. It's not a bad thing. The last versions are always the best ones. What are you people complaining about? Does it need to be a new game for you to enjoy it?

You sound like a child trying to force his opinion down everyone´s throat.

Why because the fundamentals are the same? Like every smash before it. Different mechanics, all characters ever in the series plus new chracters getting added, new stages, graphical changes, quicker movement. I dont see how this isn´t a new game. The amount of content overwhelms the wii U version. the gameplay has changed with stuff like faster movements and and like Wyrdness pointed out: It's Dash Cancel, Auto rapid strikes, Ladder attacks, Dodge decay (this one is huge, in Smash 4 you could roll and dodge forever without penalty), short hop attacks shortcut (minor), changes to perfect shielding, more damage in 1 on 1 (will change the flow of battle toward faster matches). Some are more important than others but all together that makes for a very different game. plus Nintendo saying its a brand new game should point you in the right direction.
