I know. I meant that he was likely dead and any presence of him would then a flashback.

I doubt you will only play as Ellie. For one thing, the end of the cult trailer appeared to cut just as you were entering gameplay as the buff chick. Neil has implied that TLOU will be a trilogy that Joel and Ellie are both central to, so I doubt Joel would be dead and unplayable for two thirds of it.

Yep. Completely agree. For me the whole Joel & Ellie dynamic is what made the 1st game so good. I am expecting that to be centre again or i will be disappointed.
