That would actually be pretty cool, but I'm sure that announcement would happen at Nintendo's show. SE did say their new Switch studio would focus on original titles for Switch though.

Could be.I just think that Nintendo having their own conference wouldnt stop them from announcing one or two games for that system in their own conference.Given that Nintendo also has to maintain their own conference pace.

Not sure if it's by choice or suggestion by Nintendo, but anytime an exclusive third party game is announced for a Nintendo console its always done at Nintendo's own show. I can't remember one time when an exclusive Nintendo game was announced at a third parties own show vs Nintendo's show.

Where is SE E3 official thread ?

Yes there is.

This is the project name for Final Fantasy 16. There is a reason that SE showed this like 300 times. There is a reason why all SE's next gen tech demos are all centered on this concept.

They've released 'concept' stuff before, I mean remember PS3 FF7 tech demo? If that was a foreshadowing, I can't wait for FF16 in 2028.

Honestly, I understand some people might be optimistic but SquEnix (the Japanese side at least) have not exactly set the world on fire recently.

Optimistic about what? I not saying a FF16 has even a 1% chance of being announced. I'm just responding to you saying there is "nothing at all about an FF16". You glossed over the minor but crucial details that set FF PS3 Tech demo about from Agni's Prophecy series.

I fully expect to see it.
They recently "leaked" an image of FF7:R for no particular reason.

And their countdown E3 site also looks like it has the Buster Sword texture in the background.

It's happening. And this time they will show Tifa.

This coupled with some other things like the job postings for ramping up game development (yes this means that a game's release is could actually be closer when more job postings happen rather than the other way around if all the parts are in place) give us a high probability to see the Remake either at SE's or Sony's conference.

If we don't see it at SE's, don't panic just yet.  It would make more sense actually for it to be shown at Sony's considering Sony's is a live conference, SE needs to hype the bejeesus out of the game, and the FF7 remake has been shown at two previous Sony conferences as a timed exclusive.

If the game isn't shown off at all it would be worrying, but let's wait and hear if any news starts circulating which I'm sure it would from SE about the remake's possibility to show up later in the year.

Lube Me Up

I think we will have something FFVII this E3,the thing is if it is Square or Sony that will show.

Mario + Rabbids was announced at the Ubisoft presentation, even if that game was leaked to hell and beyond. And dosent have to be exclusive. The FF games I said about would be ports, and since Square presentation will be in a direct-like format, they could just make a quick remark about them and keep moving

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

They have to.

Probably a CGI trailer to shut us up for another year. But the development of this game is not going very well.

You have idea on SE development of FF7. The only thing we know is CC2's work was not at the Level SE wanted, so they took development back. At worst it means that SE started over and it will push the date, that we dont even know, back. There was also rumors Nomura did like the reveal trailer so demanded that it be put in house to keep the "SE style"

We dont know.

Usually when a game goes radio silent for quite a while after its been announced it does not look promising. Sony also announces games early but usually you get a steady amount of updates. Except for games like Dreams which has had a radio  silent period after being announced. Although that is a weird one. But if the only news we get is that SE scrapped work and that is not very promising or indicates smooth development.
