thanks for clarification ;)  But it has norse lyrics, if it is not only in skyrim why norse lyrics?

It's chanting, but I'm not sure it's norse. All 3 of the most recent Elder Scrolls themes had chanting accompanying the orchestral score.

As you can tell, the chanting in this TES 6 teaser is much less prominent than in the Skyrim theme.

thanks :D

All the "modern" ES games (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim) use the same scale, and are proportionate to each other. Since 2001 they have stayed true to this layout (even in ESO afaik).

They havent changed scale since 2001, so I doubt they do it here.

Was the Oblivion Cyrodil map really bigger than the Skyrim map? I thought Skyrim map was bigger for some reason.

I thought the same thing too before. But yes,  the surface area Cyrodiil is infact bigger. I peg this on notion on three things.

1)Skyrim is a very harsh, rugged terrain, so you often walk around a mountain or a hill to get to your destination (aka taking a route that is not a straight line, taking you more to get to your around. More verticality

2) Oblivion had a bit faster walking speed (at least that's what I think, and especially so with acrobatics perks and stuff)

3) Cyrodiil has a wierd shape, and at some places in the map the width is very small.

4) Skyrim had more points of interest (dungeons, caves, etc) more tightly packed in, and more in number than Oblivion by a good margin.

If we include everything in the game (dunngeons, etc) then Skyrim might infact be bigger. But in terms of surface area, Cyrodil is bigger.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Elder Scrolls VI: Buggyton.

Perhaps the new Elder Scrolls will take place..*touches your chest*...in your heart...

Many years into the future is all that matters right now to me.

Talk to me again about ES6 when we get more than a title splash.

You're assuming they scale to the same ratio that they used in Skyrim, which was obviously drastically scaled down from what it is meant to actually be. They can make Hammerfall a dozen times larger than what we saw in Skyrim if they so choose... they've changed the scale with each new game. If picking one province meant never picking a smaller one we would have had to end the franchise with Oblivion.

All the "modern" ES games (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim) use the same scale, and are proportionate to each other. Since 2001 they have stayed true to this layout (even in ESO afaik).

Ehh no? Don't mean to sound dismissive but the games have varied to some degree in size and the provinces very obviously do not have an exact correlation to how big they can be in-game. Skyrim would have been a good deal smaller were that the case, and in the end they're all tiny compared to how large they are actually meant to be in the lore.

Ever since Morrowind the size of the world has increasingly been decided entirely by how large they can make it while still packing it full of sufficiently interesting content. That guiding principle will probably continue to be the driving factor in game size, and if they feel they can make a worthwhile game with a larger in-game world than they've made in the past they'll do that regardless of which province they choose.

It would otherwise mean that they can't choose any provinces smaller than Cyrodill (which they already have), and that would just be silly.

Just watched a Todd Howard E3 interview and he confirmed the trailer is a hint at where the game is set. I definitely think it's High Rock then, possibly High Rock + Hammerfell so that the size feels good.

Pretty much. He confirmed it was a hint and fans should be able to figure it out, so that implies already existing locations. So, yup. High Rock unnoficially confirmed. I never played ES2: Daggerfall, but for those that did it should be great to see the town remade in ES6.

I'm more interested whether the game will have uttely ugly designs that require tons of mods in order to be pleasant to the eyes. I know modding is an important part of TESV, but at least put some work on the base game art-designs.
