Maybe im wrong but I dont recall them delaying a game they gave a specific date to. At least, not on a regular enough basis to assume this is what happens. 

I have a bad feeling about this game performing way below expectations. I hope I'm wrong because I'd like for the investing more money into it approach to pay off, rather than canceling a game. No that that was necessarily ever on the table. But I did hear some worrying things about it from Eurogamer.

The second half of his post is critical. It doesn't happen regularly enough for it to be of serious concern.

Well, was it considered Apha footage at the time? Or do we only say so now after we heard that the game had been pushed back to 2019?
I don't know the timeframe between when the press got to try the game (which is different from when they were allowed to write about that experience), and when it was announced that it would come out in 2019. Is it not possible that part of that decision was made because of the feedback they got?

Okay, this is one of the first times I’ve been impressed by a Day’s Gone trailer. I’m still worried about the story and acting, but gameplay looks like it’s going to be excellent. Among other things, bringing animal zombies as enemies was very smart and is pretty new.
