Because some games such as Persona 5 will remain Sony exclusive

There's no real guarantee of that. It could eventually end up on PC or elsewhere. Look how SEGA finally brought over the Yakuza series to PC just recently. Same could easily happen to the Persona series.
What nintendo has to do is launch a console with the power of ps5 / next xbox in 2020 or be there when they are released. Switch is very weak in terms of hardware today to support multi platform games of ps4 / xone, imagine with the jump of ps5 / xbox next.
The price drop of ps4 and xbox one will shatter short-term switch sales if they become fixed.

XB1 has been discounted several times this year and is constantly behind Switch, both NPD and ESPECIALLY WW. Doubt Nintendo is worried...

Disregarding that....Persona 5 is still an EXCLUSIVE game on Sony platforms. So again Why do you keep bringing up EXCLUSIVE games when the discussion was about Multiplats lol. That was the only thing that was confusing me.

In the last two decades, since when Nin system sell because multiplats? It sell because exclusive games, sorry
