Well shit, only 1 of the WC semi finalists qualified.

Pretty unexpected. Beating France and Germany and finish first in this group. At the start I figured this would turn out to be a total disaster with four losses.

Might as well win the entire darn tournament now

We will whats the competition england? Lel

Pots for the Euro 2020 qualifiers draw

The UNL Pot and Pot 1 are technically the same, although countries from the UNL Pot are guaranteed to be in a Group of 5 teams

Makes sense. The UNL Pot has additional games in 2017 to determine the winner of the Nations League.

Straight-forward qualifiers: 10 groups, the top two of each group qualify for Euro 2020. At least that's what I think.

Correct, and then you also have the playoffs in March 2020 which will determine the final 4 out of 24 countries.

Each Division (A, B, C and D) will get 1 spot, with the 4 best countries which haven't already qualified through the regular qualifiers from each Division playing each other in a knock-out bracket for their Division's spot. This means that from Belarus, Georgia, Kosovo and Macedonia (the 4 countries which won their group in Division D) at least 1 will qualify. If these 4 countries don't qualify through the regular qualifiers they'll play each other for Division D's playoff spot.

Sergio Ramos tested positive on a doping test after the 2017 Champions League final, Real Madrid violated doping test guidelines on February 1st 2017 and Sergio Ramos violated Spanish anti-doping laws on April 15th of this year http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/football-leaks-doping-tests-and-real-madrid-a-1240035.html

Borussia Dortmund bought Paco Alcácer from Barcelona today for 23 million €. Contract until 2023.

Best Black Friday bargain.

2017 would've been the final from the season before (against Juventus I think). Not surprised though. There's been doping allegations about the likes of Barca, Real and the Spanish national team for a while now (as well as other athletes). Then again, I reckon most of the top teams are doping in one way or another.
