Forums - Sony Discussion - God of War was always deep

This guy nails it. I've talked about this before but he provides some video evidence. Watch it before saying "but, but he was one dimensional" no that's just people who never payed attention to the story talking nonsense.

A one dimensional character does not mean that the character only has one trait. It means a character has one trait that is so overbearing that any other complexs about the character are overshadowed.

I agree that GOW was always deep. But I dont agree on the statement that previous GOWs were more deep than the latest GOW

Kratos seeks vengeance because of his losses, the trickery, lies and deceit. He lost everything, you can see it in his voice when he talks to Atlas in Chains of Olympus. Atlas says, "You believe in the Olympians." Kratos replies, "Its all I have, Atlas." His voice breaks. Its telling and as someone who has played the games multiple times I believe I have better insight than the ones saying he is one dimensional.

I wouldn't say he have only one dimension, is just that people only see his unsormountable rage

I agree it's always been deep. I mean, from the very start of the first game Kratos is in complete despair that he tries to take his own life.

Yeah, pretty much. I always admired the killing machine Kratos more than the grieving father Kratos though.
