I'd go with....

1. Western AAA
2. Western AA
3. Japanese AA
Japanese and Western AA quality is about on par I'd say, I just prefer Western games by and large. As for Japanese AAA...well, they've left much to be desired as of late. Honestly, you'd think their AAA games are the AA games and vice versa if nobody told you the budget.

AAA games overall, while you don't need that big of a budget to have a classic, it's truly a wonderful and unique experience.

Truth!  And yet I still prefer Japanese games.  Just goes to show how kickass Japanese games are.  For AAA and AA  I prefer Japanese games, which is most of what I play (lots of Nintendo games and Square-Enix games plus Dark Souls).  But Western A games are actually really good.

I like video games, I don't really care who makes them, they can be Mole-man AAA games or Crab People AA games and I'd love them all the same.

If both are same quality.

Basically I prefer japanese game.

I say the same thing all the time, its unfair to compare Japan. one country with 127 million people versus Western countries, multiple countries with billions of people.

Japanese AA, because Persona.

Not sure what other buckets I'd need, just Japanese AAA and Japanese A I guess.
