I hope I don't see a PSP2 for 4~ years...

The PSP1 is amazing in itself... I imagine the PSP2 coming out in about 4 years, to be launched around PS4 and have a lot of connectivity & features, possibly a phone... possibly even a PC like the Sony UX series

I just don't see anything drastic changing to the PSP, nothing needs to be changed but software. Its a powerful portable beast, with a gorgeous screen, and obviously is still selling really good (dont compare DS sales please)

I think that the PSP still has a lot of life left in it, but its a given that Sony will be working on the successor! These things take years so it would make sense for them to be working on it now, as long as they learn from the mistakes of the PSP (namely ease to hack)

Don't you think the PSP needs a successor? Even the hardware sales are dying in the west.
And what new big games will come out next year? I can only think of Kingdom Hearts. Besides that, there won't be any games I know of to push the system next year.

I think 2 years ago there were news about sony asking nvidia to make a video card for them and that the deal costed more than the RSX for the ps3 deal.

I think that the new psp should come in about one and a half year around the end of 2009.I believe that this would be the perfect timing because flash storage will be cheaper,lcd manufacture will be better and cheaper(the might use led??),and of course chip manufacture will have moved from 90-65nm to 45nm ...

 Interesting , from waht Ive seen during March the only console that had a hardware boost in the US was the Wii and PSP , and compared to last year sales are ~ 200% higher , but if you say so , I might bealive that its dieing ;)

 i don't think psp2 having touchscreen would be a good idea, it would seem as if nintendo brang the future before them. (don't know if i've explained myself well)

No need to bring out a new portable once every 5 years. Portables are a lot different to consoles. Portables should be kept on market for 10 years before considering bringing out a new model, ie DS 2 and PSP2.

Literally broken, i broke the screen. its not a mechanical failure.
