Halo 1 had the best campaign, Halo 2 was pretty shit and Halo 3 has a decent campaign and great multiplayer.

Halo (as in number 1).

I enjoy online MP but for me the SP Campaign must hold up too and both Halo 2 and 3 suffered badly from both 'lost the plot' and 'how to we live up to the hype' syndrome.

Sadly given success of COD4 and AC (plus of course Halo 3 and GoW) I guess short SP campaigns are now considered fine so long as the MP is good and well polished.

Hopefully we'll see some developers deliver larger, more impresive SP campaigns in the future - I mean of HL2 or Half Life level stories with large, varied campaigns.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

halo 1 was fun and im not an xbox fan so ya. all the other ones felt rushed and weak. onlines the same on all the games just an upgrade in graphics on everygame.

Halo 1's campaign was a lot more challenging than Halo 3's campaign. Halo 3 on Legendary to me was too easy. Never played the online part though. I have never played Halo 2 so far hearing from you guys Halo 2 is rubbish.

Halo 1 was the most innovative and funnest game.

Halo 2 was an improvement on 1 but the campaign was lame...

Halo 3 is the complete package and therefore the best overall game.
