ARMS got a direct despite all that. Plus I imagine the pre-launch tournament will be before E3, thus they have to cover the game before then.

Yeah but Mario Tennis had quite good of chunk last Direct and ARMS is new IP so it actually needed more informations and push. In any case I dont expect Mario Tennis Direct but I definatly expecting that will be shown at E3.

ARMS was also a highlight in the April direct, and while Mario Tennis is not a new IP, Ultra Smash happened, so a similar push is surely needed. Nintendo seems to agree as they're doing a pre-launch tournament akin to the testpunch and testfire. All we need now is the game specific direct. Besides it's not like game specific directs are just for new IPs, we've had them for Mario Kart, Smash, Pokemon, Xenoblade, etc. Aces will still be at E3 on the showfloor and in the treehouse no matter what of course, but for the video presentation I would hope it's just part of a highlight reel like ARMS was last year.

Havn't they already announced that the would make a testfire? If so, may would be the right month to do so.

I was talking about ARMS and Tennis because they both have/had similar launch around E3, that wasn't case for MK, Smash, Pokemon, Xenoblade...

I want it to be, because it shows that there are more content in the game

Pocky Lover Boy!

It's a game I'm pretty excited about, so the more info the merrier.

They haven't really shown off the story mode in depth yet, we've only really seen quick glimpses of it, as well as the majority of stages. I'm also sure there are a good few unrevealed characters and they mentioned something about outfits.

I never said it was, only that game specific directs aren't just for new IPs.

Yes I believe 4 characters have been leaked but not officially announced by Nintendo yet. Don't remember if they said anything about outfits, but from footage we know there's different rackets. Overall I definitely agree there's enough to talk about for a game specific direct.
