I've honestly yet to find a mass crowd of hackers in any given game. I ran across one cheater some years ago in a BFBC2 game, but outside of that there wasn't much for me to see in terms of actual "hackers". I did however run into two during my 360 days, when I was playing Fall of Cybertron. The two of them managed to hack the online character's, so they could swap out abilities and body parts on the fly (abilities that do not belong to certain classes, bodyparts included).

OT: M+K all the way.

I used to play with a gamepad for years, but it wasn't until 2012-2013 that I more or less transitioned from gamepad to M+K for FPS games. I still use a gamepad for other genres though.

You haven't played counter strike then or PUBg. To say cheaters and hacking isn't a problem on PC is like saying consoles have better graphical options. It's a fact of playing on PC.

The ban waves are working and putting cheaters under control. In one single ban wave they purged over 1 million cheaters out of PUBG. You talk as if they are doing nothing about the issue.

And the ban is not a simple game key ban where you can just buy another game key: It's a GPU ban, you won't be able to play PUBG again with unless you buy another GPU. Blizzard is also doing this with OW cheaters.

I've barley played the game, I just know from mates they've given up it because of cheaters. Perhaps the bans have worked, I have no interest in the game I was just using it as an example of one that's pretty striking.

According PUBG corp. an average of 6000 players are banned every day. The cheater situation was very bad in the beginning until december 2017, but since january they put new auto-ban algos in the works that are more effective that the past ones, putting the situation under control.

Keyboard and mouse for sure, for better aiming, strafing and for the better responsive on the high refresh rated monitor.

I played Pub a few times and didn't run into any hackers of the sort. I ran into a random player who was in our squad and team killed us on purpose, but that was about it.

I don't play CS because I play different shooters. Even during my times playing TF2, I never ran into a hacker of the sort.

It's not really a fact, because not every game is filled to the brim with cheaters. That's just how it is.

Wow, I've no idea how you managed to avoid hackers in that game, perhaps you need to open your eyes more. Anytime I logged into that game in 2014 I was getting hit through walls. Everytime!

Not really. I've played that game for years and I didn't run across any.

My experience has been different from yours, and I haven't really come across an amount of so called hackers that you have, so I don't really see PC being vastly full of apparent hackers. I do here this from a few console players though all across youtube.

At 120 FPS, 4x more FPS than consoles get. Worlds lowest sensitivity for maximum accuracy, and worlds biggest mouse pad to adjust for the lack of movement. You also need a mic, because if you play online FPS games without a microphone you're the worst kind of human being, and should just uninstall the entire system.

I think it gets down to just getting used to it. I prefer controllers for FPS, even when i switch to PC, as i game mostly on console. Just feel more comfortable with it. But i often switch to mouse+keyboard with no issues.

FPS, resolution, and benchmarks.

Isn't that what PC gamers always play?

I kid, I kid. Don't go ballistic over it. :P

Why would games like PUBg have to GPU ban so many people if it wasn't a serious thing. I've know idea why people cheat in MP games though, and SO many of them too. You can deny it all you want, for whatever reason you have (I don't know why) but I don't believe for one second you haven't met hackers on the regular if you put significant time into games on the PC. It's blatently obvious, maybe less so with games that don't have kill cams but with games that do or even Overwatches play of the game or similar systems it's in your face clearly. Even outside of those games you should be able to identify it. I haven't really played MP games much on PC the last three years or so but I doubt the methods have gotten anymore sophisticated.

Because they take cheating very seriously, hence the bans. But just because they are banning cheaters, doesn't mean to automatically say that every single game of PuB is filled to the brim with cheaters. Same goes for TF2 and other games out there.

People cheat because they want to feel like they have power over others, with no chance for them to be retaliated against. The other reason being to troll other players and ruin their fun (Some people are just wired that way in all walks of life).

I don't need to deny the fact that cheaters do exist. It's the assumption that all games on PC are filled to the brim with cheaters.

You aren't me, and you do not see through my eyes, so you cannot account for what I have actually seen. I haven't come across many hackers throughout my years of playing both co-op and MP experiences. Certainly not in the number that some other folk have come across.

Well you should start playing MP games on PC sometime, rather than going by a dated experience from years past.
