Forums - Gaming - PS4 and Xbox One exclusive titles aren't that impressive

OP's post seemed to imply that consoles weren't worth owning, because they didn't have enough exclusive games.

I don't know anything about those games, so I won't assume that they'll do well, like I did with the upcoming PS4 games. Are any of those being developed by studios with a good track record of getting 80+ on MC/OC? If so, I'll add them.

A bit odd to assume that because you don't know those games somehow means they won't do well or matter. Not sure why they have to be compared to PS4 games (because that goes right up there with OP's list war).

Going by MC alone isn't really sound logic.

I never said, it meant they wouldn't do well. My position on whether or not they will do well is completely agnostic. I'll neither assume that they'll do well, nor assume that they'll do badly. Well I would compare them to upcoming Switch/XB1 games too, but OP seemed to focus on PS4.

I'd have to write you an essay on why human taste is not 100% subjective, but that's an argument for another thread.

Comparing one different game to another doesn't really do anything for either in that regard.

No, you wouldn't have to write one, but tastes are subjective, and not objective. No amount of arguing is going to change that.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I don't like shooters so I am fine with it.

If someone asks why I'm using an alt account, CGI and Truckusaurus got me a temp approval until I get my iconic and notorious "kurasakiichimaru" account back. :p

damn thats pretty crazy when shaped into that way. We'll see though when ps4 is done

Not doing a positive =/= doing a negative.

Example: Failing to add a game to your collection =/= Removing a game from your collection.

PS4: 9

PS3: 22 at the same time.

But PS4 had some difficulties:

DriveClub had a rough start, and was hurt score wise.  But frankly that game deserves to be on the list at this point.

A lot of the issues is that games take longer to make.

ND: At this point already had two games out and was nearly released with a third one.  Whereas in this gen, they only have 1 full title.

MM: At this point they also had 2 titles out, but they still don't have 1 new PS4 title.

PD: has released 1 game, but it wasn't as well received as their previous titles.

GG: Has two games, but their first title wasn't very well received.

Sony Japan:  Knack 1 and 2 were unfairly low rated I think.

@bolded

If you count Uncharted 1, you have to count Uncharted TLL. They’re nearly the same length.

As for the 9 vs 22 part of your post, that’s ridiculous imo. In addition to the 9 listed in the OP (and Uncharted TLL, as mentioned above), the other NOTABLE ps4 exclusives also include Persona 5, Nier, Nioh, Until Dawn, LittleBigPlanet 3, GT Sport, Resogun, Nex Machina, and, if you’re gonna count Motorstorm PR, then Driveclub should count for ps4. Motorstorm was not a great game, would not be considered a notable ps3 exclusive, and did not sell well.

So, that would make 19 for ps4 and 22 for ps3.

Still does not stop from what you had already spoken.

It could have easily been worded differently.

Human taste is not 100% subjective? Elaborate.

Failing to assume that a game will be good =/= Assuming that a game will be bad.

You keep interpreting what I said as "Those games will be bad.", because you don't understand this concept.

Which again, you could have worded differently.
