Forums - Gaming Discussion - Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 launch July 24 in NA and EU, and July 26 in Japan

I'm very excited to play Mega Man x5 again :)

Mega Man X Legacy Collection and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 will launch physically and digitally for PlayStation 4 and Switch, and digitally for Xbox One and PC on July 26 in Japan for 3,300 yen, Capcom announced. A set including both collections, dubbed Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2, will also be released for PlayStation 4 and Switch for 5,550 yen.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection will include Mega Man X, Mega Man X2, Mega Man X3, and Mega Man X4. Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 will include Mega Man X5, Mega Man X6, Mega Man X7, and Mega Man X8. Each collection will also feature an “X Challenge Mode” where the series’ boss characters team up and attack the player.

Additionally, each collection will offer various graphics options. With “Filter Off,” you can play with the original pixel graphics; with “Filter 1,” you can play with smooth, revised graphics; and with “Filter 2,” you can play CRT-style graphics. For Mega Man X7 and Mega Man X8, which are 3D games, you can also enjoy the games in higher resolution.

In addition to those elements, there will also be a “Museum Mode,” “Music Player,” “Gallery,” “Trailer Theater,” “Goods Catalog,” and include “The Day of Sigma” original anime originally included with the PSP game Mega Man Maverick Hunter X.

So will the Switch-versions actually be true physical versions this time

Probably physical for collection 1 and download for collection 2

All of my yes please! MegaMan X 1-4 are some of my favorite games ever!

5, 6, and 8 were good but not great. 7 was terrible.

So ps4 double pack version it is. At least the ps4 has a 2nd disc

It seems that will only be the case if you buy them separately. For the double pack, it still is physical for the first one and digital for the scond one, the same mistake Capcom did with Megaman Collection. You just have to buy them a la carte.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Seeing as this is Capcom, I'll wait for the complete collection edition where all Mega Man X1-8 are in a single package.

Well, I guess that's the best way to delve into the series then. I guess I'll try to get bot Legacy and X collections down the line so I can finally try these games out properly.

Here is the English version of the trailer. July 24th in the US
