Because they mention that, the video accuses Gamespot of being SJW's, "beta male" was mentioned in the video. |
Ah, that makes me weary of watching that.

To be fair, I could say the same thing back to you about how you could have written more about what you felt my comment apparently missed instead of just saying to watch the video before commenting lol. Which is why I just simply wrote back "I did watch the video", cause I didn't know what you were trying to get across with your comment since you didn't go into specifics. But anyway, my original post didn't need to be perceived as anything anyway, again I was just writing what I saw happened. |
No you couldn't?
>Thread literally about a video
>That video is about a video made a month before the game launches
>Person writes comment that seems ignorant and off base
>I reply saying to actually watch the video
Like how is that unclear? Is this the Far Cry 5 official thread? No, it's a thread about a specific video. You couldn't even put 2+2 together when I said to watch the video? I mean, what does "watch the video" with a sarcastic smiley face usually entail on the internet? A literal recommendation or a point about not understanding the video?

Then this applies to you too:
Honestly you're nurturing ignorance by living in a bubble like that. You cant read or watch something with viewpoints that you don't agree with? That's why extremism on both the left and right are becoming more of a problem in this country, people only consume what they agree with already, polarizing them further,
It sounds like you need a safe space when you're weary of something you might disagree with.

What? Are you a snowflake, too. It's statement like this ^^^^^ that makes me want to support the game even more.
BUY IT!!!

AGAIN, obviously it's not the official Far Cry 5 thread. And obviously from your post I could assume that you meant to imply I missed something by telling me to re-watch it, but you don't think it would have been better to just simply write what you think I missed instead? It would have been no different from if I replied "What exactly do you think I missed?" instead of "I did watch it". Your original comment told me nothing about what you thought I missed. But now we're just going in circles. Think what you want, man.

I mean, you can't really write a comment trying to tie up loose ends while making open ended statements. But sure, it was a misunderstanding on both parties sides and that's how we can end this discussion. Apologies and drinks all around!

I think you should re-read your statement and reflect on it more. Perhaps it will be a growing experience for you, because you're young yet you're already rigidly set in avoiding ideas that you disagree with. Not only do you avoid them, you're weary of them. That's not good, you should always be open to growth.
Personally the stuff I mostly listen to online and in media is the exact opposite of what I believe in. Why? Because I dont need to be told what I already believe in as there's no growth there to be had. Based on stuff I read and watch people would come away with the assumption that I'm on the exact opposite side of the political spectrum than what I really am.

I didn't say that I wasn't going to watch it, I said I'm weary of watching it. I might it end watching it eventually but my mind is probably already going to be set.

It helps when people actually have legitimate views. If you feel the need to insult someone to make a point, how good can your point be then? Anyone that calls someone else a "beta male" is automatically a kindergartener; because adults are able to have discussions without making nonsensical insults.
No, I'm quite certain it has nothing to do with him disagreeing with someone. |
When hearing a "Trigger word" makes your weary of watching or reading something that consists of more than just a 3-letter word that triggered you, then you're living in a bubble and have fully bought in to the idea that you need a safe space to protect you from things you have a strong disagreement with. In this case that's the idea of SJW's.

But why are you "Weary" in the first place? That's almost a synonym of scared. And you based that on a one sentence summary that contained the word SJW in it.
Why are you set?
