That is impressive (I know the rightful number one would be God Of War, but still surprising that Labo is that high). 

Sure, looking like even the first week won't be bad at all. Steadily climbing on almost all the European charts as well with about a week to go.

If it is a hit on first impressions from the US and Japan, I expect it to light up the European charts next week.

Thats true but hardly has anything to do with what we are discussing.

So I am missing something. I thought the conversation came from combining 3DS and Wii sales of a game and using that number to predict Switch sales for a sequel of that game.

I was only following the conversation loosely so probably interpreted it wrong.

It probably is. Matt and Benji on Era have said the XBO have done pretty well.

LABO is also at #1, #2, #5 and #7 in Amazon Japan! While Switch is at #8! Amazing!

I will find it quite hilarious if after all the struggles on COMG Labo does strong numbers in Japan and gives Switch a boost.

Though that combined with the GameStop news does raise a question in my mind.  This has a strong marketing lean towards parents buying it for kids as almost a toy.  I wonder if that somewhat disrupts the usual balance in terms of where most purchases are made and Labo will be more prominently purchased from Amazon and Walmart vs GameStop and with much lower preorders vs launch window sales.  Interesting thought, we'll just have to wait and see.
