As long as the game is meaty, I'm ok with this:

Hmm, I guess I should wait for a possible complete edition so that I can get all the content in one package.

Ugh, save it for post launch, does promise of paid DLC ever sell a game to anybody? I have no problem paying for DLC so long as the base game is great, but it always irks me the wrong way when they try to sell games on the fact that paid DLC is coming afterwards.

That's what I'm doing nowadays.  If a game has post DLC story content/post DLC characters (fighting games) I just hold off now for a complete edition.

As exciting as this game it, it'll just have to wait until there's a complete edition.

Yeah, I've essentially decided to do that too myself, especially since last year with Resident Evil 7: Gold coming out
