And Secret of Evermore wasn't much of a game, sorry. I will always hate Square for bringing that game to America, while the true sequel to Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 3) was a Japan-only release. |
Secret of Evermore was a fantastic game with a quirky sense of humor and a story that was better than SD3 on almost every level. They were both great games, but don't be so harsh to SoE. It doesn't deserve that kind of criticism. |
Secret of Evermore ruled.
Despite the fact that the game was actually pretty buggy. Using Corrosion on the final boss was almost guaranteed to cause the game to freeze. Another time, I went a back way to the Gothica, and ended up screwing myself because I went around that rat boss and his barricade remained in place--but he wasn't there. And in another, I picked up two of three items I needed to reach the final area, delivered them, and then picked up the third. That old scientist guy told me I still needed to grab the other two items despite the fact that I already did.
