Forums - Sony Discussion - How many new annoucements should we expect this E3?

I bet we will get release dates and gameplay for Spiderman (at the beginning of the conference), Ghost of Tsushima (early mid conference), Days Gone (late mid conference) and TLOU2 (at the end of the conference). We will get 2 new game announcements (1 teaser and the other a trailer). And also some footage of Medievil Remake.

about that. I can't really imagine the game releasing in anything after august. it has to be either July or august.

i think there will be a Japan Studio game and some kind of third party exclusive, maybe Japanese too. I wouldn't expect much else. We are at that time now where any studio that has released a big game recently probably aren't even going to be seen again this gen, let alone be ready to announce anything

Not many considering the amount of games in the pipeline, maybe one, and then some smaller announcements like patapon 3.

And if Spyro isn't announced yet, it'll be there.

I think with both MS and Sony both saying they'll be a bit better at announcing new stuff, I don't expect too many surprises this year. I think really we need to wait until next... and I am having trouble thinking about what else is available... the big studios are working on big games already...

1. Santa Monica - GOW
2. ND - TLOU2
3,. SP - Ghost thingy
4. Guerrilla - Very likely Horizon Dawn 2
5. Insomniac - Spiderman
6. Kojima - Death Stranding
7. MM - Dreams
8. Bend Studio - Days Gone
9. QD - Detroit

So to me this is a bit of a problem for Sony, everything is pretty much announced from their main studios and the studios they rely on for other games. No wonder they were talking about needing more studios...

So what I am expecting perhaps:

1. Maybe Bluepoint is making a game for Sony (another remake but a big one?)
2. Insomniac do have multiple teams, maybe another ratchet and clank game (though I am expecting a resistance HD version at some point).

3. Sumo: Little Big planet ?

But struggling, unless they have two teams at some of the studios, can only see small games or HD remasters being done at this point. As studios finish off their current games and then work on next gen versions.

As someone else mentioned, I expect Deep Down to make a come back and also to see a few more Japanese focussed games coming into play (maybe bloodbourne sequel).

I think MS have the same issue, they are in a worse position and have less studios, so expect them to be paying for 3rd party studios to make stuff... but I think this E3 could be the worse in recent history.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

I don't expect anything major to be honest. Lots of coverage of stuff we've been waiting for already. But then again, we got spoiled in 2015 and nothing can even surprise me anymore after that amazing conference

im wondering whatever happened to Deep Down lol

Went too deep and never saw light again.

OT: Hope too see lots tbh.

Nintendo Switch FC: SW-6340-7643-4233 aka Renji

Steam: Lee Roid

In terms of new games I expect maybe 1 or 2, will get more information on known titles for 2018 and 2019.

you know there's an actual reddit that is praying for the survival of Deep Down and keep wishing every event that it gets re-announced

I don't think it will match 2015 or 2016, but I predict there will be 1 major announcement.
