Yep. I knew it couldn't possibly be worse than Primal.

Game looks mediocre. I'll wait a couple months for a sale of $25 from Best Buy

So, solid ratings all around. I have a few hours of work to do, then I can go pick up my copy from Best Buy and decide for myself how good it is.
What for is wildlife good now if not for the upgrades?
How is weapon progression if no towers anymore?
These were the best parts in Fc3&4. Hunt rare animals to get more ammo and so. Climb towers to reveal map. Because the story missions were in both games more than annoying.
Are in fc5 even enemy bases to destroy?

Not sure what exactly you're asking but I'll try to answer.
- I assume you mean what the wildlife is for, you gain loot from them (meat, pelts, skins, feathers etc...) which you can sell for money to use at vendors.
- Weapons are picked up from your enemies or bought at vendors, as you progress and do missions new weapons appear in shops and new enemies carrying new weapons appear. Once you've picked a weapon up you are classed as owning it so can retrieve it for free at any shop if you need to drop it and leave it at some point, you customise weapons at shops.
- Maps are revealed either by exploration now or if you happen to find a map, story missions in 5 are better structured than the previous games.
- In 5 the are enemy outposts that you liberate and once liberated they open up new fast travel locations, shops and missions.
