As long as you have your right hand, kleenex and the intertubes then you dont need a girlfriend. If for some reason your hand falls off(over use??) then the time for a GF has arrived. How else will you cut your food?

dude 15 aswell hi five ok back to the topic i am one of those people u are talking about.Having to do the most degrading stun just to prove love or flaunt my girlfriend which i have split up with.however it took an older girl to help me realise that i have the rest of my life to think about and i donr need a girlfriend to fill this gap i have.i dont like this older girl it seem that we come from different worlds and she 17 and she a big deal.

I think people exagerate the cost of treating your girlfriend well.

I've dating this girl over a year now, and other than birthday, valentines, and Christmas it isn't so bad. : )

However. I would suggest you wait until you have your own transportation. Made having relationships much easier.

Every girl's parents have loved me.  They generally want me to date their daughters, haha. 

Edit: @Outlawauron:  That's very true about transportation.  Not only can you do more, but it's much less awkward.  Plus, you can come and go much more easily.  This makes standing people up much less likely.
