Knock that "uninformed" shit out, please. If you disagree with someone, argue against their points and don't mischaracterize their positions.

Mischaracterize? You mean misinterpret? Don't use big words if you don't know what they mean. Also, being "uninformed" isn't an insult dude, it just means you're discussing a topic with no real knowledge pertaining to it and making false assumptions.

AND

Zelda isn't psuedo RPG, it's not RPG at all. It's not an RPG even in a general sense much in the same way Ninja Gaiden wasn't - which is also an Action/Adventure game. Would you call that psuedo RPG? Of course not...

"Knock that uninformed shit out". I don't know if you're worried that I hurt others' feelings and you went all keyboard warrior, or if you like pushing your weight around in a FORUM with 'psuedo' authority. (Yes unfortunately, you also used that big word incorrectly as well)

You're mischaracterizing the other side's arguments when you claimed they're saying it's a rpg because of the fantasy elements when you know it's not true. Claiming the side you disagree with as uninformed is just a cop out so you don't have to argue against their points. It's lazy and no decent discussion will come  from saying stuff like that.

If I called you a pseudo cop, would I be saying that you're an actual cop? Why do you think I was calling it an actual rpg?

The Zelda games have alot in common with rpgs. If they just added in xp and character levels, it would be one.

You're just injecting some nonsense into what you think I meant, Kathy.

Dude, look, this is really a silly thing to fight about, so I'll admit I should have stopped it earlier before it continued. But making fun of people for correcting you by using the literal definition of a word ... that's not "nonsense", you're just not admitting you're wrong. It's especially funny when you tell people to look up a word, and then they use that definition against you because you just don't know what the word actually means.

But I really don't care either way. You just aren't using a word right, but your opinion is fine to have.

Why did you respond to me in the first place then? You wanted to argue with me and try to school me on something you misread. I didn't call it a rpg. Get over it.

Literally your only response is "I didn't call it an RPG", when I already addressed that you are using the actual word "pseudo" wrong.

It's okay to be schooled sometimes.

Could you stop acting like a stereo typical know-it-all kid for five minutes? Your interpretation of what I said is not what I meant and I used the word in mind with its definition. You gonna fall back to "it's silly to fight" again when you picked it?

Bioshock. It's a boring shooter with shitty gameplay mechanics, nothing more.

Than use words that interpret your meaning more clearly. Don't use the word "pseudo" since you don't know what it means.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Final fantasy VII...not bad, but not so good either...

the hilarious irony of this is that Final Fantasy VII is one of my all time favorite games...and I still feel it's overrated.

At this point it is cliche to say that Final Fantasy VII is overrated.  On every gaming message forum I've ever been on, the number of people who say FF VII is overrated has always far outnumbered apologists for the game.  This even includes people like yourself who authentically like the game and still feel it is overrated.  The question I've been asking is, "Where are all of the people overrating it?"

About 15 or so years ago, you would always have a couple of guys on a forum with handles like Sephiroth69z or IAMCLOUDSTRIFE!!!11111.  Then everyone else, even fans of the game, would think, "Man these guys are really over selling it."  The result is that tons of people think the game is overrated while a tiny, and vocal, minority are actually overrating it.

So can we just agree that Zelda games are NOT rpgs or pseudo rpgs. Except the newest one maybe. You don't have to grind in order to become stronger, which you do in rpgs.

On a side note: the german wikipedia says Zelda games are Action Adventures, no mention of the word rpg at all.
