Switch and PS4 look virtually identical more or less when going by NPD sales. Doesn't really matter who wins, it's more about staying in that same range. The key for Nintendo is going to be to learn how to keep sales high in year 4/5/6 rather than declining hard than most Nintendo systems do. Switch Pro is a must, PS4 Pro is a lot of the reason why PS4 is showing such strength in the back half of its product cycle. XBox One X has given the XBox One a new lease on life entirely.

Agree on the Pro point, and it is quite valid for Nintendo since the X2 is falling in price as time goes, making it more viable. I expect we will see it. Nintendo is already doing way better with bundles with Switch vs Wii U which often had only very, very limited bundles for new releases, even big ones.
I will say that saying X gave Xbone a new lease is perhaps pushing it. Worldwide it is only mildly up and still in the same general range and still getting routinely steamrolled by both competitors in its main market :P. It has helped keep it very stable though, much like PS4 Pro. Which is what these revisions usually do.
