Around the Network

Pre orders for October :

PS4 : 2807.6 (RDR2 bundle) + 545 (Random PS4 pro at gamestop) = 3352.6 total points = 119.7 points/day
NS : 5490.6 total points (Smash Bundle) = 196.1 points/day
XBO : 1875.6 total points (Fallout 76 bundle) = 67.0 points/day

All those bundles will know be counted normally.

I counted 28 days for October NPD period, I hope this is right. Also, what is the release date for Battlefield 5 ?

This month is going to be interesting.

With September wrapped up, we are going in to what is probably the most exciting month of the year.

Well, so much for Xbone's shot at second. Switch and PS4 were competitive at the end but PS4 got a huge head start.

Looking at those preorder points, Nintendo is accumulating a massive head start for October if Smash really falls in that tracking period. And then November they have all the points collected for Pokemon. These next few months are going to be interesting.

Yeah this month is :
the Switch pre-orders lead vs Red Dead Redemption 2 hardware push

its probably gonna be close, and thus a fun month :)

Yeah September definitely goes to the PS4.

So without the Spiderman bundle preorders, Switch would have won another month according to the statistics here? Although to be fair just because of the Fortnite bundle releasing the last day of the NPD month.

Next month should be a monstrous win for the Switch with the Smash bundle, I don't think Sony and Microsoft can counter those points

You talking about November? November will be interesting month and I think it will be strong but close month in any case, PS4 will take October while Switch December.

No, October. The Smash bundle releases November 2nd, which is part of October NPD. Hence why I think Switch will trash the competition in October in US sales.

It is only one day of the bundle though

It was a good idea to make the game available early with the bundle. I am sure plenty of Switch owners will buy that bundle just to play the game early. It's a bit shitty for people that don't have the money though. But Nintendo need to ship 20 millions so...

The game is not available early, as is clearly stated on the box and in the bundle description.
