While I do agree that slavery was not the only issue that lead to the civil war I think its impossible to say Slavery was not a main factor... sure there were many other factors but slavery was a very big one... many european countrys had fromaly abandomed slavery but fact is that people could still be held in slave like conditions by their landlords... to say because there were abolitionist talks in the south proves slavery was going to be forbidden is nothing but speculation... there were also anti-abolitionist in ther North btw... Lincoln wanted america slave free once and for all, he achieved that and we should all be gratefull for that... ( I know it took another hundred years for blacks to have equal rights but the Civil War was a major step in the right direction...)

Yes my grandparents have been discriminated for beeing german... and I don´t think I slipped a straw-man argument there... WWII was greatly about racism and the Nazis beeing racist assholes... still not all germans were Nazis yet lots of poeple treated them that way... You sayed saying "Get over it" adds nothing to the discussion... I say its a major point of the discussion... we are talking of recism but what is that based on ??? Its based on what certain races and cultures have done in the past... I'm part asian. and I never go out there to bring race into the forefront. In fact, race is really the last thing I really care about.

No white power, no asian pride for me, Never. Everyone will be treated the same way he treats others. If you are a jerk, you deserve to be treated like a jerk by others. If you go and call each other n (or other racially offensive language), then others should be allowed to do the same in your presence.

 this is exactly what the second part of my argument is about.

My first part is directly saying that there is more racism towards whites now.  I find that organizations like BET, NCC, and the others racist due to the fact that if a white person wanted to start WET or the WCC we would be called racist and told that Caucasians don't deserve extra help due to people's forefathers being mistreated.  This is why the two partsof my argument fit together.
