They can stopped eating meat for all they care, I'll keep doing it.

Okay, so less controlled farmed animals which have population control are eaten. Well done.

Let me know when we are not longer over fishing and killing sharks for a soup which doesn't even need them.

Hmm, pie.

Does that mean lower prices though? Because you'd think less demand would mean lower prices. There's gotta be some upside to vegetarians... right?

If meat production would go smaller scale due to stricter animal right laws, then prices will go up.

Know quite a few vegetarians and vegans (not surprising when you're in a Literature and Languages faculty). I've been vegetarian for about a year, but that didn't work out too well. I'm too much of a Burgundian to completely renounce meat.

On the other hand, it would be healthy and good if we all ate less meat. It's one thing to eat meat as part of your main course multiple times a week, but eating meat at breakfast and interbetween as well is actually way too much (even though I still do so too from time to time).

If laws concerning animal welfare and meat production would be stricter, meat would be more expensive, but also much higher quality.

And finaly, industrial scale meat production is enourmously taxing for the enviroment.

I'm a vegan and that is fantastic news but there is still a lot of work to be done!

I love meat, but only eat it once or twice a day... never heard of people in Brazil having it in breakfast (we don't do eggs and bacon) much less in interbetween.

Damn you veggies!!

*shakes fist in air*

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

For me, once a day is more then enough. When I fully get to decide my own diet (not easy when you still live with your parents), I'd eat meat thrice a week, fish once a week and veggies twice a week (generally speaking). Generally, in Belgium, most meat eaters (myself included) eat meat at breakfast, on our sandwiches during lunch and for dinner (and often for a snack interbetween), which is way too much.

I would have to agree our digestive system isn't expecting this much meat compared to all the rest we should it together.

Does that mean half a billion animals fewer are being born too? After all no need for them to the industry.

Well obviously. They only breed what they can kill.
