For me, once a day is more then enough. When I fully get to decide my own diet (not easy when you still live with your parents), I'd eat meat thrice a week, fish once a week and veggies twice a week (generally speaking). Generally, in Belgium, most meat eaters (myself included) eat meat at breakfast, on our sandwiches during lunch and for dinner (and often for a snack interbetween), which is way too much.

I would have to agree our digestive system isn't expecting this much meat compared to all the rest we should it together.
