Can you just delete the messages? I think that makes them go away.

I don't even read my PMs. The way they pop up in the drop down box I forget they even exist lol.

For now thankfully the harassment has stopped.  I mean my body wasn't ready at the time.  Maybe later.

It's not just him, there are a lot of users getting spammed with them Including me!

...unfortunately, it's like dealing with computer viruses. The faster we come up with solutions to prevent this type of stuff, the faster these asshats come up with ways to bypass - it's a never-ending game!!!

Hopefully, this will curtail the problem for a little while at least, as I can tell you that all of the people who have been getting harassed via PM were absolutely the target of a person (or bot) that was using disposable email addresses (something I didn't even know existed, until now!!). Granted - these disposable email services are pretty neat in their own right (you just hit a website, it requires NO registration of its own, and drops you right into an inbox with a brand new email address that works for a short while), but anybody attempting to use one of these addresses to register here is not doing so because they are a legit user. They are solely here to either harass people, or spam the website in general - period.

And they will now have to find a new way to annoy us, because this door has now been CLOSED!!

I hope that the spambot apocalypse is finally over
