Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Move Save File on Switch

So my 5 year old has pretty much taken ownership of my Switch, and I'm thinking about buying a second one for just me.  I have 35 hours or so into Xenoblade 2, though, and would rather not replay all of it. I'm reading contradictory things online about whether you can transfer save files or not - does anyone know of a way to do this? It may be the difference between me buying a 2nd device and not doing so.

Yes! Thank you! Man, a quick google search made the prospects look dim. I wasn't expecting a positive answer.

No problem. I'm guessing google returned a lot of negative results because you couldn't transfer save files before the system update on October 18th, and it was a pretty contentious issue around launch.
